hold the Alien Resident Certificate and have been staying in Taiwan for more than

by NHI, students will have to insure themselves in Medical & Accident Insurance
on their own. After obtaining the Certificate to verify your stay over 6 months,
please prepare the following documents and proceed to the Health Services Center
to fill out the NHI application:
- A 2-inch photo (must be taken in the last 2 months)
- Personal stamp
- A copy of your passport
- A copy of the Alien Resident Certificate (both front and back)
Each month, foreign students are responsible for the amount of NT$749 for NHI. Fees
will be paid on a half-year basis, i.e., every 6 months: the first half will be
from September to February in the following year, and the second half will be from
March to August. Please contact the Health Services Center for further information.
