一、活動名稱: 在地文化微型課程: 一起寫寫字 (Discovering Calligraphy)

三、活動主旨:本活動目的在使學生能理解漢字從具象圖畫演變至抽象藝術的歷史歷程,增進對東方美學的認知。學生能掌握書法工具、基本筆畫及藝術評論的相關英文詞彙與句型,學生能透過動手實作體驗書法美學,並能自信地使用簡易英文分享個人作品的涵義與心得。
The purpose of this activity is to enable students to understand the historical evolution of Chinese characters from concrete pictographs to abstract art, thereby enhancing their appreciation of Oriental aesthetics. Students will master English vocabulary and sentence patterns related to calligraphy tools, fundamental strokes, and art criticism. Through hands-on practice, students will experience the aesthetics of calligraphy and develop the confidence to share the meaning and reflections of their personal works in simple English.

九、活動執行方式:
(一) 課程安排包含四個階段的學習;
第一階段:介紹書法演變史,從圖畫到文字
第二階段:認識文房四寶與基本工具 ,介紹書法創作的核心媒介,並教授相關專業語詞。
第三階段:基本筆畫辨識與英文描述 ,透過視覺分析,讓學生學會如何用英文準確描述書法的構成要素。
第四階段:書法實作體驗與分享,讓學生動手書寫,並以簡易英文自評學習成果並欣賞他人作品。
(二) 參加學生須完成課程活動可獲得Language Buffet自學加1分。
(三) 全程參加並且完成活動者可獲微型課程時數2小時。
(四) 報名方式:請至微型課程網頁完成線上報名。完成報名並實際參加活動者全額免費。
(I) The course included four stages of the learning process
Stage 1: The evolution of Chinese calligraphy—from pictures to script
An introductory session focusing on the historical transformation of Chinese characters, exploring how they evolved from vivid pictographs into a structured writing system.
Stage 2: The four treasures of the study—tools and terminology
An introduction to the core media of calligraphy creation. Students will familiarize themselves with the "Four Treasures of the Study" and master the professional English terminology associated with these essential tools.
Stage 3: Stroke identification and English descriptions
Through visual analysis, students will learn how to accurately describe the fundamental components and strokes of calligraphy (such as horizontal, vertical, left-falling, and right-falling strokes) in English.
Stage 4: Hands-on practice and creative sharing
A practical session where students engage in brush writing. Participants will use simple English to self-assess their learning outcomes and engage in peer appreciation by reviewing their classmates' work.
(II) Participation Incentive: Students who complete the course activities will receive 1 point for the Language Buffet self-study.
(III) Course Credit: Those who attend the entire event and complete all required activities will be awarded 2 hours of micro-course credit.
(IV) Registration: Please complete the online registration via the Micro-course website. The activity is free of charge for those who successfully register and participate in the event.
